SUBJECT:  Rank and Markings THOUGHT:  A nameless enemy's greatest weapon is fear.

    Here I have a break-down and the command structure of the Vindicators.  Unfortunately, only some Companies seem to follow the Codex Astartes' mandates in structure, while others seem to have developed their own heretical order.  Most disturbing is this "Ordo Templaris," which seems to be some kind of warrior cult within the Chapter.  This is what has made some sense.

    Neophytes:  These gray-robed serfs are everywhere within the Monastery.  I believe they are those chosen to one day join the Vindicator's order, for many are young.  However, I have witnessed several that are well into old age.
    Initiates:  Young men seen throughout the Monastery, doing chores and martial training.  Occasionally I have seen them in the Mark V Scout armor, painted in gray camouflage scheme.  They bear no markings.
    Adepts:  This title is used between the marines when addressing each other formally.  These are the lowest-ranked.
    Corporal:  Observed filling the roll of fire team leader, these marines often carry special-issue weapons.
    Sergeant:  Squad leaders.  Most appear to be in their mid to late 30s.  Some appear to be part of the Ordo Templaris.
    Lieutenant:  Platoon leaders.  There seem to be 3 grades, marked by a different skull.  Some are of the Ordo Templaris.
    Captain:  Company commanders.  Many have a few service studs in their temple.
    Major:  Company commanders.  I believe they are Captains that have greatly distinguished themselves in battle.
    Crusader:  Possibly an honorary title for those that lead Companies on a Crusade.
    Master:  The overall leader and ruler of the Vindicators and all the planets and colonies they controll.
